BASIC

Low Vision: Basics, Diagnosis, and Support Measures

Sight shapes our development and, for many, would be the last sense they would be willing to give up.

But what if visual perception is severely impaired and this impairment cannot be corrected with glasses?

In this course, you will learn about the processes involved in how an image is formed in the brain, how we visually perceive our environment, and what tests are included in a low vision evaluation. You will also learn how to use the results of these evaluations to develop targeted support strategies and help people with visual impairments manage their daily lives more independently.
